“Can I make a tattoo during the summer?”
Of course! The only important thing is to respect the correct standard rules of hygiene and protection, like in every season of the year, and always use common sense. Often is better to get tattooed in the summer than in winter. In fact, during the cold season the healing process of the tattoo can be compromised, as irritations due to contact with synthetic clothing and wool are more common. In summer we use more soft materials (like cotton, linen or other natural fibers).
In winter, the skin is often neglected, covered with layers of clothes: the dermis is affected in terms of hydration and care, while in summer it requires more attention with a greater use of moisturizers.
In every season the critical period for the tattoo lasts a week: this is the normal healing time of the skin. After this period, use a full-screen sunscreen to avoid the risk of burns. Sunscreen should also be used on old tattoos to prevent fading.
